thinking, society, science
A very interesting 11 minutes with Stephen Fry. He recalls a very useful distinction in ways of thinking: empiricism vs rationalism. He illustrates it with an excellent example: rationally, monarchies are absurd, empirically such countries are among the most free, wealthy and happy countries in the world.
The second part of the interview is on political correctness and how the way diversity and feminism are approached in a strange way by some, mostly in the US. Forbidden words and such. Stephen is obviously not a fan, because this stops us from thinking clearly.
