Play Integrity Alternative
As reported on earlier, there are changes in how Google is changing Play Integrity, a key API with which in particular banks, car manufacturers and governments gauge how secure the device is and in turn which capabilities the app provides (in any). Loosely connected is the developer registration requirement, potentially making non Play Store apps impossible. Put both together and using a FLOSS Android distribution (e.g. LineageOS) and FLOSS store (F-droid) impossible.
There is hope! For the Integrity API part at least. I had no idea, but now I’ll know what to point at in case certain app makers require an API.
