German Corruption
An East-European perspective on the current (German) demands that all EU countries should accept minimum numbers of refugees. German industry manages to extract quite a bit from the East, something Greek friends told me happens in Greece too. It is well known that German wages, among the most stagnant in Western Europe, seem to fit in a picture where German industry manages to be very efficient in repatriating emergency fund euros, wage euros or tax euros.
I am growing more and more suspicious of Germany being in any way an example for Europe. Perhaps it is simply the best illustration that the EU member states make up the EU, and not the European people. The biggest guy in town call the shots, and why would they not do that to their advantage?
