Bucketed thinking

science, psychology, behavior

Human behavioral biology is a cool course by Robert Sapolsky. Watch on Youtube or an alternative service or client. It shows how bucketed thinking is a tool we have developed to help us thinking, but also can stop us from thinking correctly. Here’s what he said about Konrad Lorenz: “Somebody that was living pathologically in a box, a box that doesn’t even exist.” That’s clear and concise (and very correct!) criticism.
