Alternative milks

food, environment

A convenient table listing various properties (both contents and environmental impacts) of various kinds of milks: list.

Whereas the author does not editorialize, I will, because earlier I’ve learned that avoiding cow milk is an easy win to cut out some unnecessary suffering. It’s good to know that my personal favorite, oat milk, scores well on the three environmental columns too. The only downside I can see is the low protein content. Soy is then actually a choice nearly as good as cow milk, even though it has a bit sugar than oat.

Anyway, a nice table to have in hand!
