5G and the Shannon limit
What’s 5G? What’s the Shannon limit? A very accessible read here. Really new are those millimeter waves, 10GHz+, with a range of (tens of) meters, which means they’ll only be deployed (and needed) in dense urban areas. Outside of those, 5G simply means better tech and better utilization of exactly the same frequencies used for 2G/3G/4G.
